Getting to know nature
The hike from the high mountain reservoirs to the Fürthermoaralm offers a breathtaking view of the mountain landscape (Glocknergruppe, Steinernes Meer, reservoirs). With a walking time of 45 minutes and an altitude distance of 237 m, the herb nature trail is also ideal for families.
The tours around the Fürthermoar Alm are very varied and suitable for ambitious mountaineers as well as for families and children. The breathtaking view stretches as far as the Großglockner, the water reservoirs and all the famous peaks of the Hohe Tauern and the glacier world.
Summit region of the Hohe Tauern mountains
From Mooserboden to Fürthermoar Alm along the herb nature trail or a detour to the summit region of the Hohe Tauern and back to the Alm. Wherever you go, you can enjoy the breathtaking view over the alp and the thirteen 3000m peaks.
Especially for children
Whether at the Mooserboden or on the way to the Alm, in the streams and nature as well as on the Fürthermoar Alm. Everywhere there is room for children to romp, explore and play. We are looking forward to seeing you - especially for children, there is a homemade magic potion and there are children's dishes.
Herbal nature trail
On the herb nature trail, you walk comfortably down to the Fürthermoar Alm through the unique flowers and flora of the Hohe Tauern. At the same time, you can observe farm animals as well as wild animals of the alp along the nature trail. Perhaps you will spot a marmot on your way. The path leads from the Mooserboden reservoir down to the rustic Fürthermoar Alm. There you can spoil yourself with local delicacies. A small mountain pasture museum, a chapel, a herb garden and a children's playground round off the excursion. From the Alm, you have the possibility to take the bus back to the valley or to the Mooserboden. Walking time: 45 minutes, 237 meters altitude difference, approx. 2 km distance.
Final ascent with shuttle buses at 15.30 sharp. Final descent 16.45 sharp.
