"A first glance out of the window reveals that this is a glorious morning. The mighty peaks of the Hohe Tauern are already illuminated by the sun. Everything around the alp is still quiet, only the calming sound of the fountain can be heard. Let's go, it's time for a mountain tour to the Wiesbachhorn. We spent the night on the Fürthermoar Alm in order to be right at the front. Now a hearty alpine breakfast in the first rays of sunshine and then nothing will stop us".
Best to spend the night
Food and drink good and nice, but the Fürthermoar Alm is almost too beautiful for just a simple stop. Those who want to be first on the mountain tour or prefer to stay a little longer on the mountain pasture after the tour, are best to spend the night with us at just under 2,000 metres - the "rusticity" of your overnight stay depends on whether you book a room or spend the night in a dorm.
With us, everything is possible, with other mountaineers together in the dorm or with a little more privacy in the family room. For details and availability, please contact us directly. From the Mooserboden dam some mountain and hiking tours of the region start - the earlier you start, the more you can enjoy your tour.
The most important meal of the day
No matter which tour you choose, we will not let you go powerless. After a sumptuous alpine breakfast, you will have enough energy for the hiking routes and mountain tours around our alp. We only serve fresh ingredients - it is never too early for naturalness. While you are sleeping deeply and firmly in the clear and good air, we will be milking our cows and then serve you fresh milk, yoghurt and alpine cheese for breakfast. You will certainly feel this energy on the way.
Then your tour can finally start - a wonderful day awaits you in the Hohe Tauern National Park. If you don't feel like catching the last bus to the valley after this adventurous day, then simply stay another night. Also in the evenings, we serve delicious food with fresh ingredients from our own production - try the Fürthermoar half board. At the Alm, you will sleep well and gain a lot of energy, so that nothing will stand in the way to another day in wonderful nature.
Final ascent with shuttle buses at 15.30 sharp. Final descent 16.45 sharp.
